Hi, ive been reading your latest Q & A REF VISA,S TO THE usa. I have done a search on criminal records for my self as i had a bad time when i was younger. The searches keep coming baclk as no records found. I am planning to go the the USA TO STAY WITH FRIENDS DOyou think i should just answer no as you have pointed out to other questions on the waiver form. Worried

What exactly is your worry? What were your crimes? How old were you when you committed them?

You are probably safe to answer no - depending on the answers to the above you might not even be lying when you do.

One was for speeding, and another was for taking a coal lorry away and giving the coal to the pensioners ( i was drunk at the time). This was while i was a member of the armed forces
lol- did they make the pensioners give the coal back ?
that was a great gesture anyway even if you were under the influence.
Just answer no on the waiver form, they are looking for drug dealers etc not you.

No the pensioners were allowed to keep the coal , as the police didnt have a clue who i distributed it to. Anyway thanks for the advice
i have a criminal record 26 years ago ive got my visa and it took just over 3 weeks to get. next year jan all who travel to usa will need a visa even if no criminal record. say no if you want to. wish i had would have saved me all the stress
