Hi,

When transfering flights at Heathrow - is it better to check luggage out and then back in again or to leave it and risk them losing it between flights?

Thanks

Apologies, but a bit more information will help in providing a clear answer. I would guess you are transiting to/from an international flight? Is that correct? Could you kindly advise which airline you're arriving on and departing on, as well as your boardpoint and offpoint (destination). I'll help as best I can. Regards Fr. Bill

Hi,

Sorry for the lack of info - I'll be flying from Newcastle (NCL) to Delhi (DEL) via London Heathrow (LHR) - the flights are either both with BA or BA then VIRGIN (not confirmed until Mon)

Hope this helps

if you are flying BA all the way your bags will be transferred automatically to your next flight,if you are changing to another airline at heathrow, you will have to collect your bags and re check them in with that airline and that could be in a different terminal as well.
BA newcastle flight flys in to terminal 1,delhi flight BA is terminal 4,or virgin to delhi is terminal 3.
