I think that the answer is normally yes, you will pay for receiving the call.

How much I've no idea - it will vary between providers.

I am on orange.
I dont think i will answer it then if thats the case. :(
Yes, it costs a fortune I think like 1.50 per minute. I was advised to get a foreign phone chip when I went on holiday. Obviously nobody knows your number but you can just ring important people if you want to ring. I don't know what they cost in Greece but in some countries they are quite cheap.

Cheers, its just that i was expecting a call from someone.
Why can't you just look at the number that is calling you and only answer the one you really want to talk to? Or better yet, call them and give them the phone number where you will be staying.

Curry King seems to be unaware that the European Commission has forced mobile phone providers to substantially reduce their roaming charges.

In Greece, with Orange, outgoing calls to the UK (and to most other European countries) cost 38p per minute. Incoming calls cost 19p per minute. Outgoing texts cost 30p on a contract phone, or 40p with pay-as-you-go. Incoming texts are free:

Chris
I just had a week in kavos, corfu....and returned to a 250 phone bill.. I was charged 80p per min to receive calls from england, god knows how much to make calls to England and even more than that to make and receive calls to and from other phones in Greece ( serves me right for getting drunk and lost I suppose!)....so if i were you, i wouldnt answer my phone! ( Only used my phone so much as I left my son in england with his dad!)

Sorry Buenchico.

Anyway the cost is still very high.

Best to leave the phone switched off and just have a stressfree holiday.
