Tripadvisor is the best site you can read. If the results/opinions are 50/50 then I would suggest that this is a true indication of the holiday experience. Remember that people are more likely to log on to a website like this and write a complaint rather than praise it so I would think the reality is more like 75/25. However if you have the slightest doubt I would change to a hotel that is in the Top 10 on TA.

Pigbin, I've read through some of the reviews on Tripadvisor and the reviews seem very honest. It sounds like the hotel is a straightforward 3 star - no more than that but all the reviews from people with children seem to think it is a good hotel for kids and it seems to be well situated for other places to go and things to do so if you've already booked it I wouldn't worry too much. If you haven't booked yet then look through some of the other hotels that are more highly recommended - they'll probably be more expensive though!!
I went to Tunisia a few years ago and stayed in a hotel in Hammermet. It was 3* but not very good. I had to argue about the room and get it changed as it was so old and horrible looking. We had just a brown blanket on the bed over our sheet. There were old furniture and old looking bathroom.

The country is full of perverts that kept honking their horns as I walked down the road. It was the only holiday where I have lost weight because the food portions at our hotel were so small. I don't know what your star rating of your hotel is but if you are going get a 4* at least.

The beer was terrible tasting. I can only say the mosaics were really nice there and the fellow Brits staying at our hotel.

Hi Pigbin
We have also been reading these reports as we are due there on the 6th Oct with 2 children aged 9 and 11.
To be honest, Im dreading it but have decided to go with an open mind.
I hope it isn't too bad and we both enjoy our holiday.

thanks bigmammam40 can you let me know what its like please cause all i want is a good holiday for my grankids
Hi

Been back for a couple of weeks. It is not as bad as some people have said. It is a 2star hotel (maximum). The pool is fantastic, my children loved it. Yes, the food can get repetitive but I think most people expect that on an inclusive.
We had a couple of bad weather days, and I have to say that there is nothing to do within the hotel and they certainly do not offer to do alot. This was really difficult for those of us with children.
I saw 3 cockroaches in total and a few ants. Mostly outside as you would expect.
The evening entertainment is pretty poor but we went out on a couple of excursions and these were brilliant.
No, I would not go back to this hotel.
We were really dreading it, but went with an open mind and did enjoy ourselves.
If you want to know anything else, please just let me know.
