Electrical plugs in France

We have an electric cool box which runs off 12v and also mains electricity (via an adapter) here in the uk.
If we were to take this camping to France with us, would anyone know if this would work?
Do they use the same 3 point plug sockets and voltage as the uk?

The voltage is similar enough that it will work. You merely need a continental adaptor that plugs into the French socket and it has a three pin adaptor on the back face into which the three pin UK plug fits. You can buy them at many places including the shops at the terminals (air and sea).

kayso I am interested in your question because we are off to France camping this month. How do you rate the coolboxes? Which type do you have and if you are in a tent do you keep it inside or out? Do you know if most French campsites will lend you a lead for the hook up, maybe with a deposit? Ta
