mikeomz the Shaftesbury Square Hostel is in the city centre and is within walking distance of Museums, galleries etc, it is also central to night life and would be a good location for exploring all of the city. Check out the city sight seeing tours, haven't been on one myself as I grew up there but they are always quite full so that must be a good sign. Also if you get the chance go to the Cathedral Quarter, loads of new pubs and clubs there and a vibrant night life. Hope you have a great time and despite what you might see on the news about the troubles the people of Northern Ireland are incredibly friendly to visitors.

Hope you have a great time.
