One flies to Torp (near Oslo). Check Ryan Air and EasyJet.
Also check the BA website, they are very often cheaper than low cost airlines and usually give more flexibility with times etc.
Oslo (lowcost airport: Torp) is a great place to visit IMHO with top museums, food, accomodation and people... though I've heard first-timers complain it's grey and dull. The weather is hugely important - choose either serious snow or wait til summer and get the excellent summer sunshine. The bits in between can be wet, dull and dreary. As well as Torp, Ryanair also flies to Haugesund on the west coast, south of Bergen. Nice small town in itself, wonderful coastline with islands, inlets and beautiful views - not to mention easy access to the more remote off-shore island of Utsira (as in 'North Utsira, South Utsira' in the shipping forecast!) which is a bird-watchers' paradise... and a great place to unwind, hike, snooze etc. Ryanair links to http://www.visitnorway.com/ , http://www.visitoslo.com/ and http://www.visithaugesund.no/ which seem to be good places to start. Any more questions, I can try to answer here.
I have used Torp airport to visit Oslo. Be prepared, it is a long way from the city. I understand there is a bus service to Oslo, but no train. It takes quite a long time. I drove it and I seem to remember it took about an hour. Also be aware that Norway is an expensive country.
