US broadcasters don't transmit Corrie directly but in some parts of the USA, particularly in the north, cable companies take a feed from from Canada's CBC. They transmit the programme with a time lag of about 9 months behind the UK.

sorry but you are sad, you are going to start a new life, why on earth do you want to take baggage with you ?
When I lived in Dubai a lady there used to get her dad to tape Eastenders on LP tape and sent it over, it had to go through the censor first but she did get it.
You could be in luck. Sky and Virgin Media are about to launch a joint venture satellite system, called See See Broadview. While circling the earth, it will be programmed to pick up all UK television broadcasts and relay them to any country in the world. America is seen as a lucrative market and will probably be first in line to recieve this service. Enjoy your viewing.

that sounds a great new idea, wont that mean though that as it finds the signal etc that at the time it is on here, i will have to watch it simultaneously in the states but at an earlier time there.as for starting a new life etc re others comments, i was brought up on corrie, though it isnt my life, it is such a part of the british institution and im not going to let go of part of 'my' heritage.
