I'm coming to London from the US this summer. What should I do?

I'm already going to Wimbledon and to see some castles. What else should I do for ten days? I can't have it too expensive.

Depends what kind of things you want to do or see, will you be staying in London?

There is so much to do to tourist wise in London, Buckingham Palace and changing of the guard, Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, London Eye etc... You can get special bus tours which show you the sights and some give some discounts for entry but it can get quite expensive.

Seeing London at night is highly recommended, a walk by the river is free

Many museums are now free and I'd highly recommend the Science and History museum.

There are also loads of galleries such as the Royal Academy and Tate.

There are boat trips on the Thames inc to Greenwich where you could go to the observatory.

There are may cheap theatre tickets going so a night seeing a show or at the theatre is a possibility. If you wanted to go further afield Stratford upon Avon is lovely and Shakespeares birthplace where there are always productions on.

Make sure you get to experience a good old fashioned British pub, preferably for a traditional pub lunch. Maybe venture round the gorgeous Cotwolds if you go to Stratford and Oxford is nearby as well.

You could have a cheap day out to Brighton for a day by the sea, very cheap return by train or national express.

My own favourite is the National Portrait Gallery, which is free, and near Trafalgar Square. Also love the Natural History Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum (all free). If the weather's nice, many of the parks (again like Hyde Park and Hampstead Heath) are lovely to walk round.
Also you can go to the Market at Camden, and have a walk by the canal.
