as an ex-pat living in the canaries i see thousands of brits packing up and emmigrating every year.

But beware, about 20% of people end up moving back after wasting away thier live savings. Make sure you've visited the area you plan on moving too, and do a hell of alot of research before you up and quit. if you still decide to go GOOD LUCK! its not for everyone, but its better than blighty!
