What to wear in Hua Hin

Is it a very casual resort in the evening, when walking around town? Do I need to take any 'nice' clothes or just go casual in shorts and flip flops all the time? Going in February -- Female by the way !!

Most places in town will be ok with shorts and t shirts. Some of the hotel restaraunts may have restrictions on flip flops and sleeveless tops (eg Central Sofitel will not normally allow you inside the beachfront restaraunt unless you are smart casual). Not sure if the Hilton has any specific restrictions, I don't remember that they do.

There is a difference between plastic flip flops and a decent leather pair!
