I am due to move shortly and although I will be selling all my furniture there are a few items I would like to take such as mirrors, some smaller kitchen electrical items and excess clothing and some books. I reckon I could could get all this into 3 large suitcases, I would also have my own suitcase as well.

How best should I transfer this luggage, don't know what to do for the best as I know haulage would be cheaper but I dont think I have enough, any ideas?

Thanks

Belfast to just outside Edinburgh. I don't drive and therefore wont be taking a car over which would have been much easier, would it be better to pay for a friend and myself to travel over on the ferry perhaps ? That would be a lot less hassle, actually hadn't considered that, must check it out, whad do you think, any ideas oldmegan?
My son goes to International school. Unless you have serious emotional attatchment to these items or fear you will not be able to re new at the other end don't bother getting them there by air it is mega expensive ... some companies consolidate freight to make up a complete container this can take a while, you might have given in and bought a new one before the one you paid to transport has turned up. If you are moving from the USA to the UK and you are an avid cook the best thing you could do is bring everything you need from a well known chef company - as that is the biggest complaint I hear from day to day. It is no fun being paid in dollars and buying in pounds at the moment!! Good luck and enjoy the move.
Ok lots of girls at daughters Uni are from NI ( Aberdeen )they have booked ferry travel at the begining and end of term and flights when they don't have to cart stuff back and forth.
