I'm due to go to new york in 3 weeks time but 1 of our party has broke their leg. Is it easy enough to transfer the tickets to another name? Many thanks for your help.

it ill depend on who is flying you there, what type of ticket it is etc. There will almost certainly be a charge, and probably quite hefty. Sometimes its as much as a new ticket. On some tickets you cant do it at all

Thanks for your quick reply. We're flying with continental airlines. Thought it would probably cost quite a bit...if it was even possible.
Get in touch with the airline offices asap, do it direct dont rely on your travel agent, ask for the name of the person you are talking to,in case you have to quote them, you might have to prove you are not trying to pull a fast one with a letter from the GP, find out their requirements, they already have your money so they might not co-operate, but start right now before you leave it too late.
