ok i want to take my gf away for the night somewhere next saturday 9th, i just dont know where to go! i live in dartford so it cant be far, and i dont want to spend the earth, just a reasonable amount. if anyone has got any good ideas or places to go i would be very grateful. i drive so it doesnt matter about travel but i dont want to travel miles! cheers for any help in advance!

what sort of night away are you thinking of? clubbing and a B&B or sightseeing weekend. or a meal and nice hotel?

so many places and things to choose from really.

Id prefer a cheap b + b then have more to spend on decent meal and night of drinking and clubbing!

This seems like a 'no brainer' to me.

You're only 60 miles from Brighton. The drive only takes about an hour and a quarter.

Brighton is the south-east's number one city for clubbing. It's also got dozens of vibrant bars (including plenty with live music). Throw in the best selection of restaurants anywhere, outside of London, in the entire country plus the opportunity for romantic (if somewhat drunken?) walks by the sea and everything should be perfect ;-)

i second that! Brighton is your best bet, lots of clubs, bars and restuarants. Shopping in the lanes for xmas pressies and there should be plenty of hotels and B&Bs for you to choose from.
