Magical place-names

[Scylax]

Some places seem to have magic entwined in their very names. For me, these include :
Samarkand, Bokhara, Biarritz, Isandhlwana, Lake
Louise, Katzenelnbogen, Surabaya, Zanzibar and
Valparaiso. Not forgetting Rocamadour and Xanten.
Some of these places I have seen, and they were as good as they sound. Others not.
Anyone else been enchanted ?
