Does anybody know if it's expensive in Vancouver? I'm going for Christmas. Does anybody know how much spends I'll need for 10 days, need money for general sightseeing, eating out while I'm there, going out at night etc etc the usual holiday stuff. Just a rough estimate, I don't wanna go without saving enough.

We didn't find it expensive. We were there in June and July. Eating out is a bit cheaper (although they expect a tip of about 15%) than in UK and larger portions. The rest is about the same as the UK. In bars, bar-staff also expect to be tipped. Its a lovely City, warmer but rather wetter than the UK in the winter.
I'd say you'd be well comfortable with between 500-1000, as JimJools says it isn't expensive but there's so much to see and do (Stanley Park, Gastown, Capilano rope bridge, etc) that you might not manage to fit everything in! If you like skiing try going to Whistler Mountain ski resort (about 2 hours by train) - well worth a visit!
You could ski at Grouse Mountain if you do want to ski, not so far to go. Although Whistler is better more ski runs and skidooing, dog sledding etc. But that is expensive.
