The Channnel 5 doc on JCVD (Sun 27 April) repeated the myth that it was he in the Predator suit in the Arnie movie. The movie castlist and the imdb disagree, stating that Jesse Ventura started this rumour. Does anyone know for certain? And why would Ch 5 present this probably false rumour as fact? For that matter why would Jesse Ventura - a star of Predator and US Governor - lie?

While it was Kevin Peter Hall who played the predator, JC did a few days before quitting. Check the "trivia" page on IMDb.

Apparently, the suit that JCVD was supposed to wear had to be worn with stilts - as he's not the tallest of chaps. But negotiating the terrain in the film proved to be extremely difficult, and he had to quit. However, he spent enough time on set to get his screen actor guild union card.
