I'd love to try and buy an anusual (unused) property, and turn it into living accommodation. Places like, old schools, churches, waterworks, etc. Anyone know of where to look? Websites? Baring in mind I havent got THAT much money, but would love to buy somewhere cheap and unusual and do it up. Help?

P.s - in south wales area (south west wales). :-)

Most such places are sold by normal estate agents, often by auction.

You will need a lot of dosh, as competition for such 'interesting' property is usually high.

Hmmmm/....thought as much! Thanks anyway. :-)
Take a look at this site, may help. You do need all of the money within 28 days if you buy at auction. You may be better off just getting a mortgage and buying a house that needs some TLC... :-)

hi, I'm a member of this site and have bought some weird and wonderful stuff.

Also you can try things like the councils, the church or water board as there are many odd things like water towers that come available sometimes, disused chapels etc. Just mooch about and see what you can see really.
I know a good source of finance for both auctions and odd properties if you ever need anything or unusual circumstances, so if you find something post again and I'll give you details.
