Has anyone any recommended areas of France that are pleasnt for a Driving Holiday ( of about 7-10 Days )?

I would be looking to stay at B&Bs . Are the Tourist Information Offices in France ok for Booking B&B? Is it wiser to try and Book ahead?

Much Appreciated!

Lyon
South West and down that way, nicest French people (if there is such a thing) and it is driving country, winding forest roads and flat motorways with plenty to see. Lourds is down that way, so you can been cured of all your elments. On the way down drive through the loure vally and maybe pop in to spain whilst your down there.
that sounds like a very long trip to me.It won't leace you much time for just enjoying the place if you only have a week.Inland Brittany is lovely as is the Loire Valley.I've crossed France, holidaying on the way dozens of times as I used to live in Spain and found the French people great if you took a phrase book and at least tried to speak a few words they went out of their way to help us several times. It's worth a visit to Mont St. Michell touristy but for a very good reason! and to Mont Dol both closeish to the channel and easy driving.dol is a delightful little town really French and full of character also Honfleur is lovely. While you are there don't forget to try the Cre'pes(pancakes to us) but fabulous in any language
Anywhere in France is perfect for a driving holiday. Thanks to the excellent motorwary system, the smaller roads are usually empty and you can drive throughout the loveliest of countryside and small towns. Normandy and the Loire Valley aren't too far away and are both beautiful.
Tourist information offices invariably provide excellent information and are happy to book accommodation.
I have always found the vast majority of French people very friendly and happy to help though you will need to make the effort to speak French.
