Crem De La Creme for a curry or the Ashoka in the west End. Cant beat either of these. If you are looking for live music too I would head for the Ashoka as there are lots of nice bars around there with music. It can be reached by underground train or about 7 from city centre in a taxi. Hope this helps.

Thanks! Will do!
Go to Edinburgh..........in August it's the only place to be.
Only 1 hour away from Glasgow [which wins hands down for the rest of the year].
Please, whatever you do don't go to Edinburgh. Words can't describe its awfulness. Glasgow is officially the curry capital of Britain so the ones previously mentioned are good. For a pub i would recommend the Horse Shoe bar in the centre of town. Great atmosphere and there is Karaoke upstairs which is performed to a suprisingly high standard.
re horsrshoe bar inexpensive food always full of the banter
find byres road in the west you shouldnt be disappointed
Crem de la Crem is no longer, try Mother India's cafe on Argyle street, just across from the Kelvingrove Art Galleries, and from there you're not far from the bright lights of Ashton Lane (just off Byre's Road) for a few drinks.
