Chateaulin. France

We have friends who have moved to and invited us to Chateaulin, driving is not an option, how do we get there ? obviously we have a budget, but I have no idea where the nearest airport is or what airlines go near there. Any help/suggestions appreciated.many tks.

the nearest "budget" airport would appear to be Brest, although it's some distance away. Ryanair fly there from Stansted, and FlyBe go there from Birmingham & Southampton. Chateaulin is connected to the railway system & is 6hr from Paris via Quimper.

many tks mushroom 25, sounds a bit complicated for me, husband is now reg blind and I would have to get us from Brest, my french is schoolchild version.
Just wanted to see friends and have a cheap break which would not be too stressful.

not too difficult - Ryanair flight leaves Luton (not Stansted, sorry) on Tues, Thur & Sat at 11h40, arr Brest 13h50 . There's a train to Chateaulin at 17h10 taking 48mn, giving you just over 3 hours to get from airport to station (navette takes 18-20mn, taxi will take less). Return trip just as unhurried, leave Chateaulin 09h50, plenty of time to get to Brest airport for Luton flight at 14h25, also only on tues, thur, sat.

Brittany ferries - Plymouth to Roscoff.

Roscoff to Chateaulin is just over an hour's drive. Not too far for friends to collect you possibly.

Might be train from Roscoff to Chateaulin ???

If you guys ever need toknow about teeth implants in India[ its so much cheaper] or about Goa[ its great for a winter holiday] I now now everything on those subjects.
