First of all, it must be advised that you visit the travel nurse at your local health care centre.


However, the NHS 'Fit for Travel' website recommends the following:


Courses or boosters usually advised: diphtheria; tetanus; hepatitis A; typhoid.


Vaccines sometimes advised: tuberculosis; hepatitis B; rabies.


You will also need to take malaria tablets, usually Chloroquine or Proguanil.

Think twice before going to the Dominican Republic - it is a health hazard. See my earlier post.
