What is a 'run of the house' room rate, or ROH? Is it worth booking this rate or not as it seems much cheaper than other rates?

ROH means you get allocated whatever room they have available when you checkin. If you want a particular type of room, eg with sea view, then the only way to ensure that is to book in advance, but if you don't mind the ROH is a good option. You frequently get a much better room as the most expensive go last.
