The Sheraton and Mediterranee hotels in Hammamet are both rated around 4 star and the Sindbad is 5 star, but it depends who is rating them. I have stayed at The Sheraton and going back in June. It was fine for a golf break (mixed group) and has very spacious rooms on just two levels, a good pool and a very attractive beach restaurant within the hotel grounds. I would say it would rate around 3 star in the UK or US mainly because I never think the food in holiday resorts is up to the standard of city hotels. I am going to The Mediterranee on Wednesday on another golf break so could let you know next week.

Thanks for your help, would love to know how you get on have a good break.

Reporting back as promised, I would rate The Hotel Medierranee as about three star. Goodish buffet style food with free wine but in the bar the drinks measures for spirits were unusually very mean. The rooms are not as good as at The Sheraton but there are good indoor and outdoor pools although at this time of year there are no beach bar or eating facilities. The beach bar/restaurant at The Sheraton is much better but we went there in June when it was a lot warmer. The Aziza next door is a lot classier and we drank there most nights. The entertainment in each of the hotels is about 100 years behind most Med resorts and the music is awful. Depends what you like of course.
