Are there any 2 for 1 offers on at the moment with an Oyster Card? I can't find anything on the TFL website, only with National Rail. Will the NR offers (which require a rail ticket) accept Oyster if it's from or to a mainline? Hope you can help!

Thanks

On the faq , it says that oyster is ok to use with the national rail offers if you have a travelcard on your oyster valid for that day, but you must have the Record Card you got at purchase to prove this - you can't just use the oyster on its own. Oyster pre-pay and tube tickets can't be used.

if you only have prepay or don't have your record card I would say to buy a v cheap single train ticket just between 2 stops - there must be some for around the 1-2 mark for stations in london. (remember both people have to have a train ticket to get the 2 for 1)
