I am wanting to travel overseas (I live in Australia) and I was wondering which credit card would be the cheapest in terms of fees (ie international conversion fees etc)

Thanks for your time.

I have always used a Visa card and never had any bother. Many years ago I used a Bank of New Zealand Visa card throughout Europe without any problems although did start many conversations!! Since then I have used Visa throughout S.E.Asia, Europe and the Americas. I believe it has the largest outlets of any credit card. How this compares for fees/costs I could not say but, for world wide acceptance I would go with Visa.

You need to ask this in an Australian forum - people here will answer in UK terms which will be different. It's the issuing bank in Australia that sets most of the fees, not Visa or Mastercard.

Have a look at the Lonely Planet discussion boards (thorntree) - this is often asked there.
