Go to the british embassy site on the net , probably in madrid and you can fill out the forms on line
Most British Consulates will also process passport applications, but you must check with them first.

A list of British Consulates in Spain - here.

...and here is the relevant page explaining the process.
Scrub the above answer... Consulates will only issue emergency (single visit) passports.

All passport renewals are processed through Madrid - here.
Hi John,

I'm an expat living in Barcelona and I renewed my passport through the Madrid consulate (or embassy) last year. It took about 2 weeks, and came through perfectly, no hitches.

You don't need to go there, it's all done by post and the ukinspain.com site (as above) tells you what forms you need, and what to fill out. One word of warning - you'll need an UK passport holder to sign the back of each of your photos and then you send those in. The form's a bit confusing about that, it talks about doctors, priests and lawyers signing your picture etc....I got a british friend here to sign it and put the relevant text ("I, xxxxx certify this is xxxx" and put his passport number. (after checking it with the consulate first)

Another hint - put a false, urgent, but not last minute travelling date in the relevant box and they'll get it back to you sooner.

G'luck
