This is an observation only and I do not want the usual tirade of abuse from the usual pundits.
People arriving from France are exempt from the isolation order.
Can a person fly from Russia or a similarly affected country to France then get a connecting flight to Heathrow and walk through unchecked?

I would hope that UK BF will manage who needs to isolate when checking passports.
Also, wouldn't France have it's own isolation rules on their incoming flights?
This question should also apply to other common boarding points with France. In my opinion the current rules should not allow an exception for France.
Hopefully, UK Border Force will scrutinize all arrivals without exception
I though Ireland (republic) was the only exception- I wasn't aware of France. Have you got a link please needawin so I can digest it? Thanks

Same question crossed my mind needawin when I heard it - the link is for FF
snap tiggs - it was a 2 sec google if FF had really wanted to know
Thanks. Up until yesterday France hadn't been mentioned in the articles I read. I'll look now.
you're welcome FF, you are right, I only heard about it this morning
Hopefully the reciprocal deal will not cover people arriving in dinghies- in fact we should have insisted that as part of the deal France does much more and will take back everyone that we 'intercept' (i.e. currently help ashore). I can't immediately think why we have struck this deal- will we end up with deals with a number of countries I wonder?
I thought I heard Boris mention France and Ireland in his message although I can't be sure. My short term memory is pretty poor.
France is a new addition. It was just Ireland.

When I first heard it I assumed it was for freight only, across the tunnel/ferries, but it seems it's more than this. It seems to be deliberately leaving a hole in the bucket, for some reason.
