We've got Sky and live near Heathrow Airport our news through Sky is BBC London.

Its really handy cos I work mostly in London so can keep up to date with the news that affects me.

But now we are moving 24 miles away to Aldershot. Does anyone know if I will still get the London BBC. I know it is listed as a seperate channel, but i want it to be the default.

Thanks in advance

I know that on SKY there are over a dozen BBC1s (ranging from London to the North) with Channel 101 being the "local" one.

Even if Aldershot doesnt get BBC London as the "local" setting. You could set BBC London as a main favourite channel, but whether you can set it as the default, youd have to ring up SKY.

I live in Aldershot and yes you will get BBC London.
NTL cable has the London, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and your local version (in Aldershot, that would be BBC South) versions of BBC1 included in the basic channel lineup. You can't renumber the shannels but you can rearrange the order they appear in the menu so your preferred version appears at the top.
