I want to go somewhere for NYE, in the UK, for something different this year. Was thinking of a city but don't want to fly or stay overnight, live in London (don't want to stay here) can drive and/or use trains. Any suggestions? Preferably a city, oh and I'm 21, thanks.

Here's an idea - Birmingham Hilton are doing a deal for 130 and with that you get a 5 course meal, some drinks, a room and breakfast in the morning. It's black tie and if you get a group of you such fun and more elegant than your usual house party!

We did it a couple of years ago and although it's an expensive outlay think if you were going out with food drinks, taxi's etc you would prob spend that easily.

We bought some cheap champers and drank it in our room before & after midnight, but the hotel bar is open for as long as you like.

Go on, try something different!

It's a long way, but we went to Looe, Cornwall for the millennium, they roam the streets in fancy dress, fireworks on the beach and you can book a superb meal at one of the restaurants, and come and go as you please for the evening!
