Hi Ab travel peeps .... we're flying out to New York and back on American airlines in just over a week's time .... does anyone know what the food provision is like? When we flew to NY on BA last year, we got a main meal first and then a ghastly and inedible sandwich just before landing. the latter was just disgusting ... Much the same on Am Air? Worse? Better?

And what about Am Air's in-flight entertainment - same as BA?

Just wondering really, hope you can help, cheers, Chox.

A colleague flew to Mexico a couple of months ago and there was no personalised entertainment (I.e. No screen in the seat in front of you). Pretty sure their website will give details.
last time I was on AA it was nothing special, but that was years ago. AA and BA now code-share, so first make sure AA are actually operating the flight - it'll probably have a BA flight number as well as an AA one.

Can't help beyond that, sorry.
I have never flown an American airline that has been very good which is strange given the attitude to customer service in the US. I would be surprised if there is no seat-back entertainment. The food will be as good as the catering company in London ( of which there are only a few)
Regarding 237SJ's post, American customer service is good when the service providers usually get tips. When they don't they're often as grouchy as heck. Airline staff are among these - like shop workers, the women "helping" in the changing rooms in clothes stores etc.

I have flown AA before a long time ago, I don't remember the food being particularly good or bad.
