Day trip to Norway

Mr Brik, bless him, has told me he is taking me on a day trip to Norway to see killer whales and aurora borealis (Northern Lights.) The brochure says the whales are pretty much guaranteed in November. Has anyone ever done such a trip and if so, did they get to see the whales and the lights?
