Shannon Airport is near to the Atlantic Coast, and very close to the city of Limerick and the fantastic town of Ennis in Co. Clare.

You'll find plenty of good 'inn-style' accommodation in both.

Thanks for that Steve - what a brilliant site and just what I was looking for.  Thanks again

Thanks Luckystrike.  After looking on the map, Shannon seems just the place I was looking for with the airport right on the coast!  Thanks again - er, I don't suppose you know of a good inn there too? : )  I really don't want to stay in a B&B or a hotel..
Sorry, it didn't go direct to the right page.  Hover the cursor over "Passengers and Visitors", then click on "Accommodation".

No Steve.  I've been there and about a thousand other sites since 10 am this morning, but to no avail.  I just want a little country type pub that accommodates, but all I keep getting back is hotels, B&B's with high tech facilities and castles!!  I've entered just about every combination of Shannon, inns, guest houses, country pubs, etc. etc., but it's all holiday orientated.  I just want to be able to phone a little snug place off my own back and book a few nights with them.  Do you know the sort of thing I mean?  The type of place you read about in spooky novels! lol  Blimey - you wouldn't think it would be so difficult, would you?
Numan, I know some people who work regularly in Ireland, moving throughout the country on business. I'll see what I can find out for you. No, they're not gypsies! You're interested in the Limerick/Ennis area, yes?
Waterford Airport is right on the SE coast.  Its quite a small airport - not sure where you're flying from but it does internal flights and flights from Manchester, Luton and Lille (France).

That would be great Mr Tamzarian.  Thanks very much indeed and I'll look forward to your report!

PS  I'm really interested in Shannon or anywhere else where the airport is right on the beach, so to speak..
Question Author
Thanks Frizz - I'll check that one out
Dublin Airport is about 10 / 15 minutes from the coast and beaches numan.  Dont know if you want the city though.  Malahide is nice there although you probably would only get hotels and B & B s there.
When were you intending going, numan? I will not see my friends now till Sunday night.
Question Author
Not till November Mr Tamzarian, so plenty of time yet.  Thanks again for your help. Numan
