I am driving out to Amsterdam via Hoek van Holland tomorrow, and was wondering the best place to get some cheap beer/fags on the way back. Better in the ferry or somewhere close to the port?

No duty free in the EU anymore so I'd suggest a supermarket

Yeah, know that, but in France/Spain etc, is cheaper to buy on land rather than ferry/plane. Turns out it's not in Holland. Supermarkets in Hoek van Holland don't seem to sell spirits or fags anyway
