Hi,

Does anyone know why the Hilton Hotel Portsmouth will no longer be a Hilton Hotel from 31st July?

Don't know why, but it's confirmed on a tourism website. Presumably sold to another concern?

I read it on the Hilton Portsmouth web site.

I worked there before it even opened when it was the Ladbrooke Hotel. Owned by the bookies!! It then got taken over by Hilton who got taken over by Whitbreads then back to Hilton again.

I think somewhre along the lines it was just the name Hilton that kept it going.
If you'd have known in time, Cassa333, you could have spent that spare £3m [that you just happen to have in your pocket] on buying your former workplace ;-)
