We have decided to have spontaneous camping short break in UK , we would like to visit some attractions Zoo's or funparks or take part in organised activities (rounders etc) during this with a 14, 13 and 5yr old. Any one know of some nice campsites for families. We plan on eating out, so somewhere near to such facilities would be good. Thanks

Longleat is a great place to visit with the kids. It's close to Bath so you could camp around Bath and have fun days out from there. If you haven't been to Longleat before I highly recommend it.

Alternatively, there's the New Forest which has a brilliant campsite and there's plenty of things going on if you do a bit of research beforehand.

Happy camping!

You can camp on site at Drayton Manor near Tamworth. The park has a zoo and a brilliant theme park and there are family friendly pubs and the like nearby.
The Camping & Caravanning club have a site at Chertsey, Surrey, which is well situated for Thorpe Park and Legoland. Nearby you have Windsor, Guildford and London is a 40 minute train ride or about a 1 1/4 hours in the car. You also have the foothills and picturesque villages of surrey to enjoy.
There's a good campsite on the clifftop at Perranporth which has a chalet/holiday camp attached.  It gives all the advantages of holiday camp facilities and camping.  Great for kids
