Got a phone call earlier and explained that I wasn't Camilla (who the man was looking for, from the way he started the phone conversation he obviously knows Camilla well). Minutes later a woman from the same number rang and obviously wasn't convinced I wasn't Camilla either (she also didn't like it when I pointed out someone from her number had just called and asked for Camilla) - what is wrong with people? We have had this number for months so they obviously don't keep in close contact with Camilla but why would they think I was her and pretending not be, was a bit creepy to be honest.

Maybe Camilla hates them and gave them the wrong number?
Question Author
What got me is that I have the strongest Welsh accent going and this was a local number so does Camilla also have an accent (can't say that Camilla is a particularly Welsh name though). The woman was well put out, almost got himself to ring them back and ask them if Camilla was there.
Question Author
Maybe he's a letch, he was really smarmy when he thought I was Camilla.

Probably the man's wife checking up on him phoning Camilla.
You have a Welsh accent? Well I never.
For some reason, I've always imagined you with a counties accent.

Weird, huh....

Anyway... yep, simple mistake. Did you get their number?
Wasn't Prince Charles was it?

It was coming up to the start of the bedtime routine, still have there number though (might save it for when I am fed up and want a laugh).
was his name Charles ?

Very strong South Wales accent, huh! Did you think I sounded posh? Now I am laughing.

Thinking about it, pretty sure someone has rung before asking for Camilla. Oh! Maybe the smarmy letch is trying to catch up with an old conquest!
"Wasn't Prince Charles was it?"

Just spat my gin everywhere.... thanks :-)
Yep, I thought you were posh. Didn't realise you were one of my kind.... :)
Question Author
Don't think I've ever been called posh before, funniest thing I have read in ages.
Ooh great stuff, I'm reading your posts with a welsh accent now (think Nessa) ;)
I thought you were Irish cos you refer to your husband as 'himself'. My dad was Irish and always used that phrase.
Ha, RR! I am also now reading sherrard's comments in a Welsh accent.... boyo.

Rocky - I sound exactly the same as Nessa and I haven't lived there since I was 18.

Millie - I call him 'himself' as I also refer to the children anonymously (which some people don't understand).
tidy :)
Sher - I understand about your 'things' Ha Ha
Ha! I love this, the fact you sound like Nessa.... you knows it.
