We used the Holiday Inn where one night stay and 2 weeks parking was a total of £120. That was a couple of years ago but I'm sure its not changed much. It was comfortable and friendly and they supplied regular shuttle buses to the airport .

Sofitel has worked for me.

It's all a much a muchness really. For one night I'm wanting clean and comfortable rather than facilities. Look on line and see whose got the best deal fro your dates. Of the large chains I don't think any of the hotels are too scary.
Put your details in this website and it does a comparison on prices for you. I always use them for parking at Gatwick. I dont use the hotel options as I dont live far away.

Oh I see Eric gave same advice though his link is "cleaner" than mine.

Premier Inn, Gatwick North Terminal. Hotel is two months old. £99 for a room and eight days parking. Just walk across the road into the North Terminal (free monorail shuttle to South Terminal takes 5 minutes). Nice restaurant in the hotel if you need a meal. Stayed there three weeks ago (though did not park). Very good.
depends which terminal you are flying from - we use Sofitel at one and the Hilton at the other. Worth spending a few bob extra to have a hotel actually on the airport, then you just walk across - no worry about hotel shuttle buses being late or delayed.
Try the Holiday Extras website to book, btw - they have some good deals, although next week might be a bit short notice.
We use the copthorne hotel and park with APH. The bus is a fifteen minute journey Free return. It so easy and good value.
I just worry about transfers so I like to be on the airport. We've used APH frequently when we are flying in the day and don't need to stay over. They're good.
I used the Travelodge for one night last Sept - perfectly suitable and you CAN park there for a week and get a taxi to the airport, but the Airparks car park with free transfers is on the same road and about 3 minute drive away - and they are most efficient - have booked with same car park firm for Birmingham departure for this July. They were excellent. It was the Gatwick Airport Travelodge (not the Airport Central one) and it's currently advertising £29 a night: http://www.travelodge.co.uk/hotels/book/gatwick-airport-hotels

And the carpark website is: http://www.airparks.co.uk/?page=&adcode=QIUK-G-AP-ALL-ALL&agent=WU929&gclid=CN2PsNjQu7UCFW_HtAodemUAww&__hxt_redirected=true
Also had lovely meal here the night before we flew - 5 mins drive from Travelodge, only the same road that the Airparks is on:
The Greyhound
12 The St Horley, Surrey RH6 0BY
01293 862203
Several other pubs in same village, but this one has 5 out of 5 on Trip Advisor.
And here is a discount code which may help for Airparks - I know I used one last Sept ang got a discount this year for having used them before: http://www.vouchercodes.co.uk/airparks.co.uk?ppcid=lavjrytxwnnagaqssvxchrgkkllfgplcvjvykvvzhnqmmxxaqaqsivncrhquulvmidxdqzygqdogjoiampygxcnxnrjbvekiketfqzwimpjewcmkgltnisvsgrgktkwbryxcqbjsioxthzxuqxgntixeuwxuqnxwipqmmbqpxznlty&v=5&ph=db32aa62&kid=1000340f-ee9d-3f09-7277-0000725e205a&gclid=CIWCyrjSu7UCFXDKtAodCjYApg

Upon parking they also gave me a voucher for 100 photo prints done online ... which I took advantage of.
We really rate Courtyard by Marriott
How very bizarre, have just been looking at this myself earlier this evening. We are going for the Sofitel with parking at the hotel rather than the airport long stay.
The Sofitel is quite expensive.

The Premier Inn is great, and you leave your car in their car park.

We finally decided on The Holiday Inn Gatwick Worth - looks clean and comfortable and on site parking. Will let you know what it was like when we return. Gets pretty good reports on Trip Advisor as well - so fingers crossed!
