Hi guys, up to how much cash can a person take with them when travelling to a foreign country (Hong Kong in this case) Is it 10 grand per person? I'm not sure but i think i heard it somewhere lol i.e. bringing 1 grand in cash on me. Thanks in advance! xx

Each country will have it's own limits. The UK used to have a limit on how much money could be taken out of the country and there was a page at the back of your passport which was filled in by the bank when you got foreign currency. Maggie Thatchers government got rid of that, but other countries may still have them in force. Your bank may be able to help.
Please be VERY careful in taking large amounts of cash into ANY country now.Many of them are of the opinion that such movements of cash are to do with "money laundering", which equals a prison sentence,you have been warned!
