Does anyone know where you can buy these from? I have seen them somewhere, been to most places today and cannot find them anywhere. I obviously dont want to have to buy one at the airport.

At Gatwick at least, they are free.
Small resealable sandwich bags.

they have to be 20cm by 20cm, im fretting before i even get there. i have a small ziploc bag and a small plastic bag i got just in case from primark with small containers inside but think they are too big.
Boots have them singly or in sets.
Question Author
doh, i looked in Boots but couldnt see anything, maybe i should have asked.
Boots sell the 100ml bottles singly and in sets and carry case's for them , they had them yesterday in my local branch and that is only a small town shop.
Tesco, Asda etc sell small, med & large sandwich bags which will do.
I use freezer bags.
They give them out for free at airports
Or even they don't. Here at Leeds-Bradford they are in a vending machine and cost £2 (from memory).
I went through Stansted a couple of months ago, and the bags required had to be roughly 6" square, and were on sale 4 for £1. They used to be free but when I went through Edinburgh, they were free there, so put a couple into my handbag!
I have used sandwich bags and cash plastic envelopes (e.g. from Bureau de Change when getting travel money) and never had a problem ...

i have a zip loc sandwich bag which i think is more robust anyway so was thinking of using that. im getting quite stressed too in case my bag wont fit in the bag sizer, ive read where some airlines make them smaller than they state so they can charge you. im going to be taking my tape measure at this rate, lol!
Yep, take the zip loc. If they kick up a fuss just act polite but dumb and they'll sort you out nicely ...
We just use small sandwich bags, that takes the 5 x 100ml items you're allowed - as long as you can seal it, any clear bag will do.

Check your airline limits re the size of your on-board bag - they are all different, some are smaller than others. They will charge you/take it off you if it's too big at the gate.

Boxtops, I didnt know it was 5 x 100ml, where do you get the 5 from, i though a long as you could get whatever in the bag without it being bulky n stuffed then you could take whatever that is 100ml or less. we are flying with Ryanair btw.
Question Author
i am concerned and fretting that if my bag is too big then my stuff wont fit in theirs. i need certain things that i cant buy out there, not that much but enough to probably fill the bag esp when my make up goes in there too.
The rule is that you can take no more than 5 items in your little clear plastic bag in your hand luggage, and each of the 5 items must be no bigger than 100ml. This has been the rule for ages, and you have to take the plastic bag out of the hand luggage so customs can see it.
Question Author
boxtops, can you please tell me where it says 5 items, im getting more panicky now, I have never heard of this. my mascara and lipgloss and a small pot of foundation are 3 so ive about another 4 items aswell.
Makeup counts, too, nextqueen - I've had lipstick taken off me, and face cream - that has to go in your suitcase not your hand baggage.

My clear plastic bad has in it

Lipstick
tiny deodorant
tiger balm
tiny toothpaste

and that's it - everything else is in my suitcase

Ryanair are more strict than most - I wouldn't risk it.
