Late Autumn getaway

My partner and I (both well over 70) are looking for a late autumn getaway for three or four weeks, reasonably priced and we are quite happy booking self catering holidays. as we enjoy trying new places to eat as well as using the local markets to find local produce. Ideally we don't want too long flying time as we find the 10 hour+ flights tiring but not impossible. We want to be warm and need there to be things to see places to visit. We have already boked a four week trip to Tenerife in January. We like to hire a car while we are away. Any suggestions would be welcome

Morocco. Not as far away as you think, same time-zone as UK, loads to see and do, and even though people are largely Muslim the country is not "dry", and there are night-clubs, markets, souks, etc
