My Gran is wanting my Mum to take her on holiday, preferably abroad.  She is registered disabled and almost wheelchair bound.  Therefore, it would be very useful if we could research disability provision and accessibility before booking anything.  Are there any sites that might be able to help us with this?

You should have no problem.  Most if not all the Holiday Companies provide for disabled people.  Here in Ibiza it is taken very seriously and nearly (except where streets are too narrow and houses - bars - too old) all hotels have wheelchair access. So basically decide where you want to go and have a good time.

whoops, posted prematurely, I also meant to direct you to this:

best one I know, cos I've done alot of reseach, don't take for granted what the brochures say.

type "disabled wheelchair holidays " in google.

Here is a page of disability links for various locations around the world. Personally speaking I would recommend the US as a destination as they really are the 'bees knees' in terms of access and help for disabled people.
