We have been offered an upgrade to Business Class on a 12 hour flight at a bargain price. What might we expect, and is it worth it?

What you get in Business Class varies from one airline to another (and even, sometimes, from route to route).

So which airline and which route?
I would grab it. Whatever is offered (and as Buenchico says, it may vary a lot), it will be better than economy, and over 12 hours that does make a difference. The usual is more knee room, probably wider seats too and a better menu. The extra price is usually the big killer.

Be warned though that it will raise your exit tax sharply, and this may not be included in the bargain price.

Qantas Buenchio from Heathrow to Bangkok.

jno, when I was offered the deal it was an all inclusive price.
It's many years since I last flew with Qantas (26 hours in Economy, from Adelaide to Heathrow) but I'm still very envious!

International Business Class? Go for it!

if you like the price, go for it. My guess at what it would involve was all wrong (I was thinking of premium economy); business class in big airlines these days is basically first class. Take it, take it.

Thanks for all your help and advice, I have taken the plunge and am now looking for donations to help me pay for it!!!!!!
If you can afford it, do it, that's a long horrible flight to Bangkok.
so where did you get this offer? It sounds most tempting.
The only problem is that when you've been at the front you never want to go back to the back!
Take it!!
