Day tickets are VERY VERY bad value. It costs a fortune for a day ticket.

The main park operators (Disney, Universal) want you to buy week long passes, or two week passes. to keep you in their parks (spending money) and out the other companies parks.

Therefore 7 day and 14 day tickets are much better value on a day by day basis.
As an example of the deals available.

From Buenchico's link above you see a single day in a park is 80 dollars (about £50).

But see here a deal for a 14 day ticket at Disney for £235 (Adult) for 2012 (the normal price of a 7 day ticket).

That works out at £16 a day.

If you look around similar deals are available for Universal.
