Hi I am currently a third year student at university. I've begun the job search and am quite interested in becoming a surveyor. As such, any tips that anyone could give me would be appreciated to enhance this aim. Many thanks Chris

Check out the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) online.  Click here.

Then go to the Training section, followed by Qualification Routes.

Surveying is a challenging, but rewarding profession, which pays well, and gives you plenty of opportuinty to travel.  No two jobs are the same, and the range of specialities is enormous.  There is also a skills shortage in this area, particularly Quantity Surveying, so a good candidate should expect to rise quickly to the ranks of middle management.

Good luck.
