Are we entitled to cancel an agreement regarding joining a 'Holiday club' if the membership is under 12 months? Timeshare laws apply if the agreement is 12 months or more. We signed and paid a deposit of £500, less than a week ago. We feel that the company has misrepresented themselves and their service. The contract we signed states that it is non-cancellable. They verbally told us numerous times that the contract was for 12 months.

Waht has changed between now and less than a week ago that makes you think they have misrepresented themselves?
I thought you had 14 days cooling off period regardless of the terms of the timeshare? Check it out on the directgov website. I also thought it`s illegal to take a deposit off you in that time but I`m not sure.
If in the UK, go to the Citizens Advice Bureau. They will surely have heard all about this problem before, - and maybe this company.
