I am away to Lanzarote this 23rd of Dec for two weeks, A present from Bills son and my daughter :-)
Ohh, that sounds lovely Bobbi. Have you been there before?
Question Author
the Algarve or Lanzarote flip?

yes to both :-)
Excuse the delay.. I had to eat.
yeah, I meant The Algarve. Sounds really nice. Definitely something to look forward to, what with this miserable 'summer' of ours! :-)

A nice big 4 bed, 4 bathroom villa with a private pool, I love a family holiday
Where abouts in the Algarve?
Question Author
Carveiro Lottie
That sounds bloody lovely, Bobbi. I usually go to my parents' villa... but they've just sold it. Gutted! They're looking at Cyprus at the mo though, so all is not lost!
I agree, nothing quite like holidaying with all the family :-)
Question Author
we have been to Cyprus about 8 times, I love the place, we stayed with friends who once lived there but gave up the dream because of the high rise in the cost of everything
Nice. I am in love with Alvor, but haven't been now for about 3 years. Love the Western Algarve. Like the people, the food, everything about the Algarve except Albufeira!!!
Can't imagine going on holiday with my son and partner. They would make me walk about 50km a day, or cycle for miles!!!!!
Question Author
we went to Alvore from there last time, I like it there, down on the front where you see them cooking the sardines
I've only been to Northern Cyprus, so I'd definitely like to go back and see a bit more. Know what you mean about the cost of living though. Pretty much the same as the UK, now.
Oh yes, spent many happy hours down there eating those barbecued Sardines. The smell as you go down the cobbles to the beach!! Wish I was there now!! We used to go most years. It's all nature reserve along the coast there. I think we have only been on the beach there once though - not beach people!!!
Except for in winter with the dog!! Our beaches in this part of Norfolk are very like Northumberland. Huge, with sanddunes!!
Question Author
we didn't hit the beach but sat having a drink in one of the little cafes on those cobbles and watched the world go by..lovely :-)

flip, it's nice over the North, we went across from Nicosia
Off now back out in the sunshine Bobbi. It's stopped being hazy. See you soon! x
