but really, they're not that exciting. i mean, who's gonna pay $24 a visit plus a $99 annual fee?!...if you fly enough to get value for money then i'd have thought you would get access for free anyway through racking up points on airline loyalty schemes.

That's not bad, and well within the target range of many travellers. I used to be Silver BA, and it was awesome. Any delays in flight were a bonus, you'd just kick back in the awesome lounge and drink for free. 2 hours of free drinking in a nice lounge for �12?....hmm
