If someone, born and bred in the UK, applies for their first ever passport, do they now have to attend an interview, having already completed the necessary paperwork and where would this interview take place?...surely not solely in London? Ta Muchly.

Yes this is the case, if you have never held an adult passport - I have just checked the DirectGov website - but interviews (it says) are held all round the country.

Apologies for the delay jno, didn't come back to this thread until just passing...smile...no pc upgrade, just discovered this sneaky little icon which governed the pop up blocker and now that's dealt with, all links are accessible...for which Chris is no doubt grateful!...smile.
