Upgrades at airport with virgin atlantic

Does anyone know how much it costs at the airport to upgrade from economy to premium economy with virgin atlantic?? Am going to Orlando on Friday and can't afford to book in advance so will take the risk at the airport if there's any availability

not sure on ���...but most virgin premium ec is booked full these days. give it a go tho. also dont wear jeans if you are wanting to wangle a better class. & try some tricks like its something special you are flying for .

It seems that when booking far in advance, the cost of Premium Economy over Economy is usually around 80-100% more (so almost twice the price). Leaving it until the last minute, even if there is availability, probably isn't wise, as the likes of Virgin Atlantic, British Airways and others put their fares up dramatically as the departure date draws closer.

One thing you can do is get there in good time and pay extra for the exit seats, plenty of leg room ... its usually about 75 quid.
